Only three people (one coworker and two students) noticed that I'd had a haircut. In fact, I spent the whole damn day without talking to any of my coworkers (except the one who noticed the haircut), unless saying "Hi!" really counts.

I spent what little spare time I had on the phone talking to the mothers of two very annoying students. Fortunately, both ladies said it was perfectly okay to discipline the boys with whatever means I have at hand.

Two of my oldest students acted like complete idiots, and I declared a war on them - I meant it when I said I was going to make them suffer. ^_^

Damn, I hate Monday.

Mood:drained drained

Three Saturdays this month so far, and I've had only one of them off. To make it even better (yeah, right) I have to go to work this Saturday. -_-

Yeah, that is part of the reason why I haven't done much online these days. I'm too cold and tired at the end of the day AND the week - even yesterday (Sunday), I mostly slept like a log, although I managed to step out for a much needed haircut.

If there's someone - ANYONE - stupid enough to ask my coworkers and me why we all look like shit, I'm going to bitch-slap him. ^_^ We're all burning every big of energy we can squeeze out of ourselves in order to enjoy the upcoming winter vacation!

I saw this thread on... on... a forum. ;) For some reason, I actually clicked on the topic and read the first post, mostly because a friend started the thread.

Hey folks. Recently, I've been made aware of a cause that I'd like you guys to know about, and maybe help out with. This cause is Project Download; an attempt by a woman with two neurological disorders to get money to perform the brain surgeries that she desperately needs. She isn't covered for them; no insurance and Medicaid won't pay for them. She's using MegaUpload's promise that if she gets 5 million downloads, they will pay her $10,000.

In order to help her out, once per day, download a 3kb text file here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5QBOA940

There is NO virus being downloaded here. There is nothing illicit going on. For more information, she's created a website here: http://projecterin.com/ with FAQs, more information, and more reasons to help out.

Please, click this link once per day. Download a tiny text file. Help a person in a hard situation receive the healthcare she so desperately needs.

Thank you.

As much as I'd like to help out, I'm Korea and it's not one of the qualifying countries - so my downloads won't count. :(

Subject: Yay for a snail-mailed Christmas card!

Mood:happy happy

Ha, turned out that the snail-mailed card from a certain friend (you know who you are!) made it all the way here all right. D'oh for not finding it out sooner.

This is the FIRST snail mail that I received for a non-business matter for the first time in a few years. Incredible, I must say... I used to send and receive tons of handwritten letters even after I got my very first e-mail account. I've always preferred the personal touches in handwritten letters and cards. Unfortunately, times have changed and I haven't been able to think of anyone to write to. I keep in touch with my best friend of 13 years by text messaging, since we both have cell phones and it's quick and simple. I talk to friends on the other side of the planet through various IM protocols and e-mail. As for my boyfriend... We've lived under the same roof since December 2004, and we've spent few days apart since.

Well, I've been HANDWRITING quite a few things these days, but those are mostly my daily worklogs. Very unexciting, to say the least. Considering that I go absolutely nuts for pens and papers (this is one of the websites I regularly browse for that very reason), I don't get to use my supplies as often nor much as I'd like to.

Nevertheless, yay for a snail-mail of a personal nature! (How I missed you so...!)

I don't know what to do with my new Insane Journal. I hope I'll get to post stuff (i.e. the boring stories of my daily life) here in the near future.

At the moment, however, I just want to kick back after yet another long and stressful week.
